What I like to wear on my nails

Hey Girlies,
This is my nail polish collection and what I like to wear for each season.

I have quite a big collection of nail polish, but I mainly stick to my natural and neutral shades because they are easier to wear and match with outfits. My favourite brand has to be Barry M, just because of the colour pay off and how long they last on your nails. I also find the Topshop nail polishes really nice and easy to apply on the nails.

WINTER
In winter, I like to wear deep red shades, dark silvers, taupe shades and dark green. I love all of these shades on my nails but I normally wear taupes, just because they go with everything. My top picks for this season would be; Seventeen Ruby Gem £2.99, Ciaté in glametal £9.00 and Barry M Hi-Shine in Almond £3.99.

SPRING
When spring hits and the lambs are out in the fields, I like the pastel and bright colourful shades, as these say to me 'spring is here'. My top picks for this season would be; Barry M Gelly Hi-Shine in Sugar Apple £3.99, Barry M Gelly Hi-Shine in Pink Lemonade £3.99 and Topshop Nails in Art School £5.00.

SUMMER
When the suns out, you know that summer is here and it's time to pull out your coral and pink nail polish colours from your collection. My top picks for this season would be; Barry M Gelly Hi-Shine in Cotton £3.99, Tanya Burr in Peaches and Cream £5.99 and Barry M Bright Pink £3.99.

AUTUMN
When the leaves fall from the trees, it's autumn. The colours I like to wear are reds, warm deep purples and dark nude shades. My top picks for this season would be; Barry M Daylight Curing in Dark Side of the 'Shroom £4.99, Maybelline Colour Show in Latte £3.99 and Tanya Burr in Mischief Manged £5.99.

GLITTERS
In any season you can use glitter. I have 2 that I like to use, Barry M Jingle Bells £3.99 and Umberto Giannini in Glitter Ball. This was from a Christmas gift set.

I hope you enjoyed this post, it is a little different to what normally goes up. What is your summer must have nail product? Let me know in the comments below.

August Favourites

Hey Girlies,
August Favourites, let me know what you have been loving in the comments, for this favourite I'm only going to talk about my 3 favourite things of the month as I think it will make it more interesting for you and you will get a more in depth review with only 3 products.

The first item I want to talk about is the Tesco Belgium Chocolate and Caramel ice creams. This is my favourite thing this month hands down. I feel like I eat one a day, I don't though.
The chocolate outer shell has honeycomb pieces which mixes with the caramel ice cream and makes it taste amazing. I can honestly these are my favourite ice creams of all time and I wish I had an unlimited supply of these.

Next product I've been loving is Hoola Bronzer by Benefit. This is just hands down, amazing I totally love it. Honestly can't imagine using another bronzer, this gives a perfect glow and sculpt to your cheeks even though it is matte. Its not orange like some bronzers I've tried before, it gives a lovely finish when on the skin and I can't rave about it enough.

My final favourite has to be my new Instagram account, chlxbo_beauty. I've only just started this up it is full of the make up, and everything that is coming up on this blog. If you follow me and turn on post notification you will find out about my latest posts and future sneak peaks of things happening. Review of NYX liquid lipsticks

Hey Girlies,
So I recently bought 4 of the NYX liquid lipsticks from Boots. I can honestly say I'm crazy obsessed with them and think at everyone should try then because they are so amazing.

Istanbul £5.50
Antwerp £5.50
Zurich £5.50
Cannes £5.50
The formula of these lipsticks is kind of really cool, so you put them on and let them sit for about 30-40 seconds and you feel them going matte on your lips. They are full matte in about 2 minutes. There is a big selection of colours in the range and the swatches for the lipstick is very realistic, making it easy for you to decide, what colours you think will suit your skin tone. When I was choosing my lipsticks, I went for colours that would go with the make up looks I like to wear.

ISTANBUL
This is a baby pink colour and very out of my comfort zone, however it looks amazing on the lips! This shade is perfect for spring and summer, I also believe that it would work on most people with fair skin tones but maybe not on darker skin as it is quite light. I really like this shade with a rosy pink eye look as that really works well together.

ANTWERP
This is more of a red shade but has pink undertones in it. This shade for me is quite daring as I like to stick to nude shades because they are easy to wear. This shade you could wear in summer and early autumn as it suits that time for year, however it would good with a gold smokey eye look or a bronzed brown eye look. This shade would look amazing on any skin tone.

ZURICH
This is probably my favourite out of all the shades that I bought just because it is the perfect deep nude shade and goes with pretty much any eye look and works in every season. I love how easy it is to match with any look and recommend this to anyone. Its lighter than Cannes but I love it on me and think it would suit most skin tones.

CANNES
This is a dark nude shade, this is very beautiful on the lips as it is so deep. I think this would be perfect for autumn or winter. I think this would like nice on paler skin tones rather than darker tones just because of the tones of the shade. I also believe that it would work with most eye looks.

Thank you so much for reading my latest post. I hope you have checked out my instagram it's chlxbo_beauty. Let me know your favourite shade in the comments below.

Summer Make-up Haul

Hey Girlies,
I've been doing a lot of make-up shopping recently and here's what I bought, Everything I bought was from boots online and the service I received was perfect, I'm thrilled with everything I got.

BARRY M
CHISEL CHEEKS CONTOUR HIGHLIGHTING CREAMS £7.99
This came with a highlight and contour shade in stick forms, I like the packaging and the look of the product. The highlighter isn't shimmery and it doesn't have any glitter in it. Although the colour is nice, I just wouldn't use it as a highlight shade as it isn't glittery. When I first took the contour shade out, I thought it would be too dark for me, as I have a rather fair skin tone. However, it looked super natural and pretty on the skin. I would really recommend this to anyone that is looking for a contour stick as it is amazing price for value.

BLINK WATERPROOF PRECISION EYELINER £4.59
The eyeliner of my dreams, I love this. It's so black and the tip of the pen is long and flexible. I don't know how long it will last as the lid doesn't have a super tight close, but it is amazing, This could be one of my new favourite products of all time.

When I bought these products, there was an offer. It stated that if you spend over £7 on Barry M products you received a free make-up bag. I really like the material used and the writing on it.

EYLURE
FLEUR DE FORCE - FLEUR LOVES LASHES £5.25
These look very similar to the lashes from my July favourites post, just longer in length. I also think they are more wispy. It is amazing that they have a clear lash band. Hopefully they will look as beautiful on my eyes as they do in the packet.

DUO
LASH GLUE £4.99
I'm excited to try this because I've been struggling with the Eylure glue that comes with the lashes. I've heard so much about this lash glue it would be crazy not to give it a go.

NYX
MATTE BLOTTING PAPER £3.50
I've gone off of using powder to blot my face and thought that trying these might help my skin a little bit. I'm excited to try these because I've never used anything like this before and they should fit into my routine really well.

SOFT MATTE LIP CREAM £5.50
I ordered 4 of these and tried to go for different colours, so they aren't all just nude shades. The first shade is Cannes. This is a deep nude shade perfect for autumn and winter, however I would wear this shade in any season. This is defiantly one of my new favourite lip colours. Next is Zurich. This is a lighter nude with slightly more pink tone and is a really nice colour. It just depends on whether you like a deep or lighter nude shade. Alongside this, I chose the shade Istanbul. This is a lighter and more baby pink shade and is totally out of my comfort zone, but it just looks amazing that I can't help but love it. The final shade is Antwerp this is a dark pink and looks stunning on, however it is darker than I thought it would be.

COLLECTION
EYES UNCOVERED PALETTE IN NUDE BRONZE £3.99
This palette is all shimmer shades and they are all more deep dark shades with a gold and a cream shade. I think I could create an amazing smokey bronzed eye look with this and can't wait to try it out considering how inexpensive it really is.

BENEFIT
HOOLA MINI BRONZER £9.95
This is probably the cutest thing in my order. I hardly ever use bronzer, so I thought it was better to buy the smaller one rather than the bigger one incase I didn't like it. I'm really excited to try this product and think it will be a favourite of mine, once I start using it. I love the packaging and brush that comes with the product.

I hope you enjoyed my summer make-up haul and you found something that you would like to buy.

Favourite Summer Looks

Hey Girlies,
These are my favourite summer must have looks that I recommend to anyone to try this season.

This is a city break look which is perfect for a days shopping with friends. It is casual and relaxed and looks great on anyone. I paired this look with converse because I wanted the outfit to appear more casual, but you could totally dress it up if you wanted to!

Leather Jacket New Look £22.99
T-shirt Dress Forever 21 £11.99
Converse £45
This is perfect for any festival or similar type of event. It is easy to wear and to style. I love this look for a festival and think it would look amazing in any wardrobe. This outfit shows my 'true hippy' vibe and I love this.

Playsuit Forever 21 £12.99
The next look for me, is an ideal look for a BBQ and can be dressed up or down depending on how casual the event is. This could also work for other occasions and events.

Top H&M £7.99
Shorts Topshop £15.00 (sale)
This look is probably my favourite look out of all of them and I think it looks fabulous on me. I also think it can be dressed up and down depending on the occasion. You could create this look with other colours and textured items.

Top Forever 21 £7.99
Skirt Primark £6
Finally the next look would be perfect for when the weather is a bit cooler or if you went to an evening BBQ and you though it might get a bit cold.

Mary Lou highlighter this gives an amazing natural highlight and looks sensational on the skin in any light. This also makes a really nice inner corner highlight with any eyeshadow look.

Mary Lou Highlighter £17.50
Eylure Enchanted Lashes in Cherished, these are 3/4 length lashes that look really natural on the eyes. They have a thin band and are easy to apply, for me they add just a little bit of an edge but yet still look effortless on your eyes. I would really recommend these lashes to anyone.

Eylure Lashes £5.25
My final product that I have been loving is, the Real Techniques Bold Metals Brush in 300 for foundation. This gives a really nice finish to the skin and looks super natural, I like how the brush is weighted when you hold it and how it is tapered so fits under the eye's perfectly.

FRAGRANCE
I have really been liking the Ralph Lauren perfume in 2, this is the perfect summer fragrance for me, it's fruity and floral with sweet undertones. I like how it isn't over powering on the skin but it is subtlety recognised on you during the day.

Ralph Lauren 2 £43
HAIRCARE
I have been loving the Lee Stafford for hair that never grows past a certain length treatment, this is has helped my hair so much and it is in good condition using this product. I apply this once a week to the roots and massage down to the ends of my hair and it makes my hair tremendously soft and silky. I use this between shampooing and conditioner as I think this is the best time possible. I really recommend this product to anyone that wants to grow their hair out but the results take time to be seen if you don't use it every time you wash your hair.

Lee Stafford Treatment £8.49 (special offer at boots)
SKINCARE
I adore the Garnier Micellar Water to take off make-up and works really well on my skin, it doesn't give me break outs and it is easy to use at the end of the day.

Micellar Water £4.99 (special offer at boots)
BODYCARE
This month I've really enjoyed the Lush Let The Good Times Roll Face and Body Cleanser. This has a warm scent and it is buttery in consistency, but it leaves your skin super soft with a beautiful scent. I really like how a little goes a long way when using it.

Lush Product £7.25
FOOD & DRINK
The best thirst quenching drink this summer for me is Robinson's Orange Squash with ice cold water. This has been my favourite drink since I was little and every time I want to quench my thirst, this is the drink I reach for.

CLOTHING
This month I've been loving my white converse, I wear them with every outfit and they go with everything. They are so comfortable and don't make an outfit look too casual, they give a nice look.

Converse £45
NAIL PRODUCT
I have really been enjoying the Barry M gelly nail polish in Cotton and Almond. These are both amazing colours on the nails and look fabulous for any occasion, they are more natural colours and can be worn all year round. They last for a long time and don't chip too much when on. I normally put about 2 coats on as I think that gives you the best colour pay off.

Barry M Gelly Hi-Shine £3.99

My Everyday Make-up Brushes

Hey Girlies,
My Everyday Make-up brushes and what I use them for

I first start with the Real Techniques Buffing brush to apply my foundation this brush gives me an even coverage and application. I like how it's a light weight brush and you can make the coverage a bit thicker in places if you want to.

Concealer, I have 2 different Real Techniques brushes for this the first is the Contour Brush I like how this is tapered and not too dense. The second brush is the Real Techniques Deluxe Crease Brush this is this gives you a higher coverage finish as you can pack more product on the skin with this and it gives a really flawless finish to the skin.

Buffing Brush £20.99*
Contour Brush £20.99*
Deluxe Crease Brush £20.99*
For contouring I like to use the Real Techniques Sculpting brush this is a dense brush and quite a defined look to your cheek bones. I like how the brush is slanted and shaped to fit perfectly in the hollows your cheeks.

Sculpting Brush £9.99
Blusher I like to use the Real Techniques Bold Metals 300 brush this is so beautiful for blush it gives a really natural look. The bristles of the brush are so soft and gentle on the face. This brush is also shaped to fit perfecting on the apples of your cheeks to keep your make up look natural.

For my face powder I use the Real Techniques 100 powder brush this is amazing for product as you get an even coverage and the bristles are so soft and delicate on your skin.

Real Techniques Bold Metals Brushes
300 £19.00
100 £22.00
To get my highlighter to look on fleek, I like to use the b. cosmetics fan brush. This is a recent addiction to my brush collection and it fits in perfectly. With this brush you can apply just the right amount of highlighter to keep it natural.

My Everyday Make-up

   Hey Girlies,
My everyday make-up routine is simple but quick and easy.

First product I like to start with moisturiser, I don't use the same one everyday however this is my favourite one at the moment. That's the Clinique moisture surge, I like the gel texture of the product on my skin and how smooth my skin feels after using it. This is for drier skin and it works on combination skin as well.

Clinique Moisture Surge £34.00
Next I move onto primer, I like to use Baby Skin by Maybelline. This has a silicon texture and I find it cooling on my skin, however this isn't a product that I love to use because of the texture, so if anyone has any primer suggestions please leave me a comment as I would like to try some more.

Maybelline Baby Skin £7.99
For foundation at the moment I'm using Revlon Colour Stay in Buff 150 mixed with a small amount of Rimmel Match Perfection in Ivory 100. This has really been working for my skin and it looks really natural on my face. The Revlon ColourStay is a full coverage and has a thicker consistency than the Rimmel but I personally don't think its a buildable foundation because I think it would look cakey on the face. The Rimmel Match Perfection is much thinner and for me has a watery consistency but I quite like it for a natural face look on me. Mixed together I think they work really well. I use 1 pump of Revlon ColourStay and about 1/2 a pump of Rimmel Match Perfection.

Concealer, I love the Collection Lasting Perfection in Fair 1. This has to be a staple beauty product for anyone just because of its lasting power and creamy thickness. If I want a highlighting concealer I've been liking using the Seventeen Skin WOW! concealer in medium, this is amazing and very long lasting on my under eyes. I tend to put this on after I've done eyeshadow.

Revlon ColourStay £12.99
Rimmel Match Perfection £7.99
Collection Lasting Perfection £4.19
Seventeen Skin WOW! £4.99
I normally do my eyebrows after concealer, I have been liking using the Mii Precision Brow Pencil in impeccably medium this is a dupe for the Anastasia brow wiz. I personally love this and I think it works really well. I also tend to top it off with Kiko Infinity eyeshadow in 237 and Maybelline Brow Drama in transparent.

Mii Precision Brow Pencil £12.50
Kiko Infinity Eyeshadow £2.50
Maybelline Brow Drama £4.99
For my face I use Sleek Face Contour Kit in light, Kiko Colour Veil blush in 1 and Mary-Lou Manizer highlighter. I love this combination as it creates a natural looking on my face and the highlighter is beautiful on anyone's skin. I sometimes powder my skin with Natural Collection face powder in cool, this works to matte oily skin and is very inexpensive.

Sleek Face Contour Kit £6.99
Kiko Colour Veil £8.95
Mary-lou Manizer £17.50
For eyes I use the Urban Decay Naked 2 palette (£37) which is amazing, the pigment and lasting of those eyeshadows is the best I've ever tried, I recommend to try any of the naked palettes if you can because they are amazing.

Mascara, for this I like to mix it up all the time, a couple that I have fallen in love with are Mii Showstopping Lash in Diva (£14.50) which gives an amazing length and definition for lashes. The more coats you put on the more defined they are. The other I've been loving is the Charlotte Tilbury Full Fat Lashes (£22), this does everything you could ever dream of in a mascara however it does crumble and fall down during the day.

Lastly is lipstick, at the moment I love matte lips. Mac Velvet Teddy looks amazing on my lips and gives a really beautiful look on your lips without being drying. Bourjois Rouge Edition, in 10 this is a matte liquid lipstick which is so long lasting on the lips. Both of these are nude lipstick shades and very flattering on the lips.

Mac Velvet Teddy £15.50
Bourjois Lipstick £8.99
I hope you enjoyed my everyday make-up, leave me a comment about your favourite product or anything you think I should try in my routine.
Lots of love, Chlxbo xx
